Our Day Camp Song
For our local families we offer a day program very similar to the Pequot & Sherwood sleep away camps. Camp runs in one week sessions for children ages 6 – 12. As in our overnight camp programs, campers create their own schedule choosing activities from all the traditional camp activities one could think of. We have field and court sports, a farm with over 50 farm animals, a working garden, an art studio with two state of the art kilns, and a mile long crystal clear lake. Campers spend two hours a day down at the lake doing American Red Cross swimming and boating instruction.
We put a heavy emphasis on play and creativity and encourage our counselors to create their own unique activities. No two campers have the same experience.
Day campers and sleep away campers use the same activity spaces but are on a schedule rotation that keeps the programs separate. This ensures that our all of our campers enjoy the same great activities while maintaining the special feeling that comes with a smaller unit of camp mates.
